The John and Doris Kern family property, located in what is today Owatonna’s Majestic Oaks Development, was once the highest point in Steele County. Ken Kern, looking for a unique name for his registered Holstein dairy farm, coined Kerncrest Holsteins as he set out to start his own farm as a young adult. The name Kerncrest Storage is a nod to the legacy Matt’s parents, Ken and Lisa Kern have passed down to us: our hard work, integrity and grit.

Kerncrest Storage is one of a handful of growing enterprises entrepreneur couple Matthew and Jenna Kern operate with their blooming family, Tucker, Beau, Ella and baby to come.
